IT Automated is a developer of innovative solutions. CamScan is a solution that uses off-the-shelf equipment combined with ground-breaking image processing technology to provide a barcode scanning abilities from a distance.

The Mission
Production lines have an ever increasing need for tracking and identification of units and parts. Barcodes is a general means of identifying an item. The need arises for a flexible and robust way to read the barcodes from any given item, especially when the barcode is some distance away.

The Solution
IT Automated has developed CamScan to improve shop floor effectiveness using Axis Network cameras combined with image processing technology to provide a flexible solution.

CamScan has several major elements:

> An Axis Network camera. Either the movable PTZ camera or a fixed camera can be used.

> Image processing engine. This is the heart of the functionality and can be extended to include character recognition etc.

> The user interface which can be tailored to the clients' needs.
